The next settings we will look at are ‘Reading’. Click on Reading in the Settings section and you will see a screen like this.

The options on this page are as follows.

Front page displays
This option lets you choose between showing a static page or a list of your most recent posts as your homepage.

Blog pages show at most
This is how many posts you want displayed per page on your site.

Syndication feeds show the most recent
This is how many posts people will see when they download one of your site feeds.

For each article in a feed, show
This selects if you want people to see the full post or just the summary in your feeds.

Encoding for pages and feeds
This sets the character encoding for pages and feeds. The safest is UTF-8, you can chage this but it may change how things are displayed are on your site. Some of the others you can use are explained here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Character_set.
