The settings here control your sites visibility to search engines.

If you select ‘I would like my site to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Bing, Technorati) and archivers’ your site will be visible to search engines.

If you select ‘I would like to block search engines, but allow normal visitors’ your site will be available to normal visitors but not search engines.
